Distant Thunder
This was one of my favorite paintings by Wyeth when I taught the third graders about this artist.
Here is his wife just lounging with a book, and a cute yellow lab in the distance. It was said that Wyeth’s dog would only come near when there was thunder (because like most dogs I know, he was afraid of it). Now I just wish thunderstorms would appear magically here. It should be illegal to be this hot outside.
